First released in 1997, and closely associated with Indiana Pacers sharpshooter Reggie Miller, Nike's Air Total Max Uptempo is back in a "Bred" colorway. A top-of-the line Nike Basketball sneaker in '97, the Total Max Uptempo still looks premium today, thanks to its tumbled leather upper and wavy lines. Here, these pieces are done up in black and overlaid with a black suede piece that covers the toebox, rises up to the eyestays and falls back down onto the heel. Signature details are supplied by a large red patent leather midfoot Swoosh and a circular, chromed-out heel piece with Nike Air text. Heel tabs and tongue badges alike serve up further branding, and a full foot red Air Max unit with a red and black outsole completes the look.
